Nowra Maker's Markets - the friendly market in the middle of town
Held on the Fourth Saturday of every month from 10am to 3pm at Jelly Bean Park Nowra.
Raising funds for local people who live in hardship and poverty.
Nowra Maker's Markets volunteers raise funds through the auspices of Shoalhaven Neighbourhood Services for the Shoalhaven Anti-Poverty Committee. All the stallholder's fees are used to assist local people who are living in hardship and poverty.
In 2016 funds will be going to assist Shoalhaven Education Scholarship Fund support a young person achieve their career or education aspirations, partially fund ENTR, a tutorial program for students in Years 5-12 who need additional support, and fully fund Shoalhaven Anti-Poverty Committee's Prosperity in the Park and Games in the Park events which build community spirit by linking young people and their families to each other and local support services.
- The Committee's vision is to create community pride and respect and empower local people, by bringing them together to take part in our events.
- Our markets are different because they provide a market in the CBD of Nowra for local people to sell their homemade, homegrown, handmade products or for local businesses to promote their products in a market atmosphere.
